How do I place an order?
You don’t need an account to place an order at lornjean.com—but creating one gives you easy access to your order history, tracking, and preferences. To register, click the text "Account" at the top right and follow the prompts to create your profile.
To order:
- Browse the collection and click ‘Add to Bag’ button on product pages for any piece you wish to purchase. This will add the item to your shopping bag.
- View your selections at any time by clicking on "Shopping Bag" shown in the top right corner of the screen.
- Once you have added all of the items you wish to purchase, navigate to the shopping bag as described above.
- Read the options within your shopping bag - you can add a gift message if desired in the appropriate section labelled ‘Is this a gift?’.
- Click the ‘Check Out’ button at the bottom of the shopping bag to proceed to the checkout page.
- From here, follow the instructions within the checkout to add all necessary delivery and payment details required to confirm and place your order.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards, including Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and Maestro. You can also pay via Shop Pay, Apple Pay, Google Pay, PayPal, or Klarna.
International customers will see localised payment options at checkout.
Can I pay in instalments with Klarna?
Klarna is not currently offered at checkout. We continue to explore flexible payment options and may introduce this in future, guided by what feels most considered for our customers.
What if the piece I want is sold out?
If a piece is sold out or unavailable, contact us. We may be able to advise on future availability or suggest a related design.
How will my order be packaged?
Each Lorn Jean piece arrives wrapped with intention—protected in a soft pouchette, resting in a seamless black box, and finished with our studio-sewn drawstring pouch crafted from carefully selected fabrics.
The box itself, precision-milled in Germany, offers a sculptural counterpoint: unbranded, understated, and designed to be kept and repurposed.
This layered presentation echoes the values of the jewellery—precise, enduring, and contemporary. For those who prefer a more minimal composition, the box and jewellery care cloth may be excluded on request, ensuring the packaging remains intentional and never excessive.
Do you offer gift wrapping?
All orders arrive wrapped with care as standard. For those who prefer a minimal presentation, you can refine your presentation at checkout.
Every order also includes the option for a handwritten gift message.
Can I add a personalised gift message?
Yes. You can add a complimentary handwritten note by entering your message in the "Is this a Gift?" field in your shopping bag.
How can I track my order?

Where is Lorn Jean jewellery made?
Each piece of Lorn Jean jewellery is designed, cast, and hand-finished in the UK.
Our creations are brought to life through the ancient lost wax casting process and meticulously hand-finished to meet our exacting standards of precision and refinement.
Is Lorn Jean jewellery Hallmarked in th UK?
Yes. All jewellery is hallmarked at the Edinburgh Assay Office.
Each hallmark includes:
- The Lorn Jean® LJ shield
- The metal purity (fineness) mark
- The Convention Common Control Mark (CCM)
- The Edinburgh Castle Assay Mark
These marks certify authenticity, origin, and purity—engraved in detail, preserved for life.
Does Lorn Jean offer personalised jewellery?
Yes, select pieces can be engraved upon request. If you’d like to personalise your jewellery, contact us directly and we’ll be happy to advise on options.
How long does it take to ship an order that is personalised?
Please allow an additional 5–7 working days for engraved or personalised items. Each request is completed with care and precision.
Can I return my personalised jewellery?
Unfortunately, personalised creations cannot be returned or exchanged, as they have been individually crafted for you. Please contact us if you’d like assistance before placing your order—we’re happy to help guide the process.
Does my jewellery come with a warranty?
Each piece is cast in the UK and hand-finished with care—shaped through a considered process to meet the highest standards.
Your jewellery is covered by a one-year warranty from the date of purchase, protecting against manufacturing faults. Should you ever have a concern, we’re here to assist.
To make a claim, proof of purchase is required. Please note the warranty does not cover general wear, accidental damage, or pieces altered by a third party.
Beyond the warranty, we offer dedicated cleaning and restoration services on request, ensuring your piece can be maintained with the same precision it was first made.
How can I maintain my jewellery?
Store your jewellery in its original pouch when not worn. Separate pieces to avoid friction—especially earrings, which can be stored individually in the two-sided pouchette. Avoid contact with perfumes and harsh chemicals. Gently clean with a soft cloth to maintain the high-polish finish.
Do you offer bespoke design?
Our bespoke design service is not currently open for new commissions, as our studio is focused on existing projects and limited collections. However, if you’re interested in a future bespoke piece, we welcome you to get in touch — we’ll be happy to discuss possibilities and keep your request in mind for upcoming availability.
We may also be able to accommodate existing designs in alternative precious metals such as white gold or platinum. Please contact us to explore options and receive a tailored quote.
A jewellery piece I wanted is no longer available - can I request this?
Lorn Jean collections are crafted in small, limited series. If a piece is sold out, it may not return. However, please contact us and if we can create the piece specially for you, we will.
What is a 'pre-order?'
Select designs are available to pre-order. This allows you to secure a piece ahead of the next release.
Pre-ordered pieces are crafted within 3–6 weeks, cast in the UK and hand-finished in our studio. You’ll receive updates throughout the process, and tracking details once your piece is dispatched.
Once a pre-order is placed, creation begins within 24 hours. Pre-ordered pieces may be returned as long as they are not personalised or bespoke.
What if I order in-stock items along with a pre-order?
In-stock items will be dispatched immediately. Pre-ordered pieces will follow in a separate shipment once they are complete. You’ll receive tracking for each delivery.
Made to Order
What does 'Made to Order' mean?
Select pieces in the collection are available Made to Order—crafted individually upon request. Once your order is placed, the process begins within 24 hours. Each piece is cast in the UK and hand-finished with exceptional precision in our studio.
Production typically takes 3–6 weeks, and estimated timelines are noted on each product page. Throughout the journey, you’ll receive updates, and once complete, your piece will be prepared and dispatched with care.
Made to Order offers a considered approach to luxury: a chance to own a piece shaped exclusively for you. Returns are accepted within our standard policy, provided the item is not bespoke or personalised.
Will I be charged immediately for a Made to Order item?
Yes — full payment is taken at checkout, which confirms your commission and initiates the crafting process.
What if my Made to Order delivery is delayed?
While delays are rare — and have not occurred to date — each piece must meet our exacting standards before it leaves the studio. If additional time is ever required, whether for refinement or recasting, our client care team will contact you promptly to discuss options and ensure you’re kept fully informed throughout.
Can I return a Made to Order item?
Yes — unless the piece has been personalised or created as a bespoke commission, Made to Order items are eligible for return within 14 days of delivery, provided they remain unworn, in original condition, and meet the terms of our refund policy.
