Material Poetics
Each piece begins with a sculptural inquiry explored through material, space, and emotional weight. Forms are drawn, modelled, and refined with care: shaped by hand, and by thought. There is no fixed outcome. Only a study of balance, memory, and transformation, unfolding through time.
This practice is rooted in material sensitivity. Inspired by Gaston Bachelard’s The Poetics of Space, I don’t see jewellery as object, but as presence — something felt as much as seen. Proportion, line, and detail guide the shaping of each form.
References are reimagined. Romantic imagination, Baroque intricacy, and Modernist restraint are held lightly — translated through a sculptural process defined by originality, material nuance, and conceptual design.
Material Poetics reflects my way of working: form developed through touch, observation, and an exploration of surface within a composition. Proportions are resolved through refinement, and each creation is shaped to hold presence as a symbol.
Swirling silhouettes, softened volumes, and sculpted contours define the rhythm of the pieces. There is no formula — only a continuing inquiry into the relationship between form, space, and feeling.
Material Poetics remains a living body of work. It reflects not only the metal from which each piece is cast, but the philosophy that gives rise to its form.
